The rapid progression of technology and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic have significantly increased the importance of e-learning in the modern education system. This study examines the role, benefits, and challenges of e-learning in improving educational access and learning experiences. The study draws on findings from previous research as well as primary data collected from teachers and students. The findings indicate that teachers and students generally demonstrate positive attitudes toward digital classrooms, particularly due to their flexibility, convenience, accessibility, and availability of learning resources. However, several challenges continue to affect the effective implementation of e-learning, including inadequate digital infrastructure, limited access to technological resources, insufficient training for educators, and reduced teacher-student interaction. The study also observes a gradual increase in secondary and higher-secondary enrollment ratios in recent years, indicating that the expansion of digital learning opportunities may have supported broader access to education. Despite its advantages, e-learning cannot completely replace traditional face-to-face education, particularly n areas requiring direct interaction, practical activities, and hands-on learning. The study concludes that the successful and inclusive implementation of e-learning requires improved digital infrastructure, continuous professional development for educators, effective policy support, and the development of interactive and engaging digital content. E-learning therefore holds significant potential for the future of education, provided that its technological, pedagogical, and accessibility-related challenges are systematically addressed.
